My understanding is that "recruitment consultant" is being looked at to potentially be removed from the Long list and route to PR in Australia.
It has come to my attention that the actual view of what a recruitment consultant is.. Is not accurately defined and therefore has caused confusion about where it sits. So far the government look at a recruitment consultant to sit within Human resources.. This is not the case. My job encompasses a few disciplines from sales, negotiations, talent search, business Development. It is not only my job to find and place people but make sure the human touch is involved when finding and securing talent to the financial services industry within Sydney.
TOM executive as well as the many other agencies across Australia drive a large amount of revenue to the Australian government. Our job is searching and finding the right talent within Australia as well as overseas into Sydney where we help drive the economy.
You would be very surprised to find that many Australians don't look at recruitment as a path they want to go down and therefore the percentage of overseas talent to Australian has a huge gap. Australians just don't want to do the job..... Our company constantly look for people within Australia to on board.. but its tough...there isn't the same drive.
I plea with you to actually understand the role of a recruitment consultant... Visit our offices let us show you what we do day in and day out.. How we affect peoples lives in a positive way... how we help the Australian economy grow.. how we bring skilled talent to the country to continue developing it with a positive affect.
If recruitment consultant is taken off the list you will find a drop in revenue across Australia and plea by all to bring it back when the economy look the same. Why change something that's not broken..!
I hope this will paint a picture as to a few of the many reasons to keep Recruitment consultant on the list! Thank you.
