1. Do you consider that occupations need to be added to the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL)?

Yes

What occupations should be added to the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL)?

Please also include occupations that you propose should be moved from the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) to the MLTSSL.

Please outline the evidence or data that would support these occupations being added to the MLTSSL.

I am an Australian and I am a recruiter.

I do not feel threatened by foreign recruiters.

I believe that the recruitment industry will suffer if this occupation is removed from listing.

The best mentorship and training I have ever received has been delivered by people who have come from overseas, particularly Europe. The recruitment industry is more robust and flourishing in those areas. As such there are many skills that can be incorporated into our market which would not be accessible organically here.

These skills are vast in number and have been highly polished by many recruiters coming down from other areas: interview techniques, lead generation, resume proofing, client relationship maintenance, candidate care, interdepartmental collaboration, phone etiquette, electronic correspondence strategies, market mapping, target identification and bulk application processing are just a small fraction of the skills you would be hampering by cutting this occupation from listing.
