1. Do you consider that occupations need to be added to the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL)?

Yes

What occupations should be added to the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL)?

Please also include occupations that you propose should be moved from the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) to the MLTSSL.

Please outline the evidence or data that would support these occupations being added to the MLTSSL.

The removal of Recruitment consultant in 2018 certainly makes no sense, a basic job search of "recruitment consultant" via Seek in Sydney gives you over 2,000 results alone! Expand that search to the whole of Australia and you get almost 6,000 results.

Recruitment is not just a skill, it requires a certain type of person to be able to do it, and by the looks of things it is definitely a skills shortage. People for years have been coming from all over the world to add diversity into the recruitment sector and yet there are still thousands of jobs available, what happens when this is removed from the list? Those numbers will definitely double, triple, and over time quadruple!

This is also very important to me as I was keen to move over with my Uncle in Australia (a citizen but this doesn't help with my visa at all unfortunately) and have been interviewing with major recruitment companies, I now have my 5 years experience for a 457 sponsorship with a flight booked after Christmas (coming on a 417 WH with aim to transfer visa), however companies are now unsure whether to make an offer due to the uncertainty of this news which potentially leaves me jobless upon my arrival in one of the most expensive cities in the world!

Everywhere else in the world promotes diversity, coming from London I have so many friends from various backgrounds, and found the same when I visited Sydney. Why don't we embrace diversity rather than push this away? Bringing in other cultures into a recruitment role can provide different approaches and different experiences.
