1. Do you consider that occupations need to be added to the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL)?

Yes

What occupations should be added to the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL)?

Please also include occupations that you propose should be moved from the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) to the MLTSSL.

223112 Recruitment Consultant

Please outline the evidence or data that would support these occupations being added to the MLTSSL.

I am in a 457 work visa and originate from the UK. In my role as senior recruitment consultant I have built a team of 15 recruitment consultants from the ground up. The training in Australia to know how to work in the recruitment industry is not great hence why there are so many recruitment consultants from the UK! UK have better training, more experience & the best consultants have always been trained by someone from overseas! if our visa is taken away then our experience and knowledge is taken away from providing next generations here in Australia with fantastic careers! We specialise in helping companies across all industries grow, take away the opportunity to remain in Australia will inevitably have a knock on effect on industry and shortage of niche skill sets, which is why we exist in the first place.

2. Do you consider that occupations need to be added to the Short Term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL)?

No

3. Do you consider that occupations need to be removed from the Medium and Long Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSSL) or the Short Term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL)?

No
