Yes

223112 Recruitment Consultant

Please outline the evidence or data that would support these occupations being added to the MLTSSL.

There is a shortage of skilled recruitment consultants in Australia. When doing a search on "recruitment consultant" advertisements on Seek on 22.11.2017, there were 5,492 positions available.

Previously when we advertised, we had 2 Australian residents apply, neither who had any office or industry experience and were not suitable. As a small business, if you can't fully staff your office, eg. you have 4 staff and 1 vacancy, it puts allot of pressure on a small team.

The costs and paperwork take allot of time & dollars to go through the sponsorship process so it is something that organisations do as a last resort. It's always preferable to hire a resident and it also eliminates the chance that you train them up and then they return to their homeland but to not have this option would see many recruitment organisations short staffed and thus hurting Australian businesses.
